She has written original content for multiple outlets including The Conversation (widely republished on other platforms) ABC Online, AQ Magazine, Lateral Magazine, and Broadsheet Magazine. She has also provided expert comment for journalists writing for a range of publications.

Emma regularly appears on ABC radio (local, statewide and national), commenting on contemporary issues in food and nutrition science, busting myths and sharing advice and fun foods facts. She has talked about everything from the food coma, to the history of noodles, and She appears weekly on ABC Central Coast Radio Breakfast to share the latest research news from the University of Newcastle Central Coast Campus.

Live television is also part of Dr Emma’s portfolio, with appearances on ABC News 24, Today and Weekend Today to be interviewed on food and nutrition. These appearances have included topics such as food fraud, fibre & allergies, food & mood, and recommendations for red meat intake.

A regular guest on podcasts both big and small, Emma has featured on podcasts national and internationally speaking on health, nutrition, food and science in general. Appearances include Health Hacker, Scientistt, That’s What I call Science and, Oversubscribed.
